Welcome to Bumble Bees Toddler Center! Children at Bumble Bees are encouraged to explore their world in a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment. As their first “school” experience, Bumble Bees offers a balance of free exploratory play and daily group activities that builds confidence and reinforces social skills. This is where children learn to play together in a community setting.
At this age we introduce the children to activities which help them express themselves through sound, imagination, and through experimenting with art, movement, and dramatic play. We also help children to understand their emotions and develop their relationships with other children through empathy and concern. The teachers at Bumble Bees promote independence and cooperation. Many self-help skills are introduced to the children through daily routines and cooperative play. They are taught to be more vocal resulting in language development. They are supported in becoming aware of their environment by learning to take small roles of responsibility in the classroom such as cleaning up or ringing the transitions bell.
Toddlers have a rapid developmental sense of themselves, which is characterized by physical movement, language acquisition, and the exploration of social relationships through imaginative play. They learn through a balance of play, teacher-facilitated activities, and repetition. Bumble Bees is the optimum environment for learning at this level of development, and is constantly buzzing with activities for your busy bee!
