Shawn came to run the operation that is Sweet Peas LLC quite by happy accident. Trained as a postpartum doula and lactation educator, she worked with several families in the early months following the birth of their babies, and had the idea to open an infants-only child care center, which she did in 2007. Just her and one baby in those early days. Then another baby. Then another. Well, feed ‘em and water ‘em and they grow! Long story short, she kept opening more and more centers so she could keep the those original Sweet Peas who were in her care until they went off to Kindergarten.

Although this was an unintentional career path, Shawn cannot imagine how she ever did anything besides what she is doing. She considers it an honor to be given the trust to care for, nurture, and educate children, and to get so involved in the lives of the families. It is a gift to work with a team of such dedicated, hard-working, creative, smart, professionals, who inspire her every day. And don’t even get her started on how crazy she is about the kids!

Shawn and her husband, Tim, live in Victor, ID. They have 2 sons, Finnegan and Benjamin. She enjoys being a hockey mom, watching sports with her husband and kids, camping, and traveling.
